COVID-19 has brought unprecedented challenges for people from all walks of life. Those who thought they no longer had to worry about money quickly became unemployed, leaving them struggling to make ends meet.
What is on offer?
Fortunately, the Government and other non-profit organizations have set up programs to support those most in need. The Government enacted the CARES act in the initial stages of the pandemic, a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill implemented to reduce the financial fallout caused by COVID19.
From March 2020, the CARES Act provided Economic Impact Payments of $1,200 per adult and $500 for eligible children. Outreach was begun to reach the rural poor and homeless to ensure they received Economic Impact Payments.
The Emergency Rental Assistance Program has made $25 billion available to help those who cannot pay rent and bills on account of the pandemic. The funds are funneled directly through local governments, US territories, and Indian tribes. The funds can assist with newly created or existing rental assistance programs.
The Homeowner Assistance Fund was implemented to help people to continue to pay their mortgages and utility bills. The fund assigns a minimum of $50 million for each state and requires the Department of Treasury to make these allocations.
Although there is lots of assistance available, many people fall through the cracks and lose out on their desperately needed help.
How can C3S help?
C3S stops these people from falling through the cracks.
C3S is transforming how social and health care organizations interact with their customers and community members. C3S is an intelligent care management system app that uses technology to transform community services, allowing residents and caregivers to interact faster, communicate more effectively, and find the support they need to help more people transition from poverty to self-sufficiency.
The C3S app helps connect people in need with the relevant non-profit organizations, allowing them to collect the COVID19 relief for utility and rental assistance.
